My all time favorite salad place. I love their chicken walnut salad. If is my go to whenever I need a quick and healthy lunch

I'll give them another chance, but I had a very weird experience here today at lunch. When I walked up to the To-go counter I could tell immediately that the lady behind the register wanted nothing to do with me. The older woman behind the counter encouraged me to order "the special" which I agreed to: a half sandwich, soup or salad, and Deep River chips. I walked up and told the lady I would like the special and she asked me what kind of sandwich and then whether I wanted soup or salad and what dressing. She rang me up and asked for my name, at that point I chose my chips from the rack next to me. She then looks at me and says, "Oh, you wanted the special?" I actually stared blankly at her because I could not understand the confusion. I simply said "yes" and she said, "Oh, I didn't charge you for that, but it's okay. For today." Uhhhh, what? I was so confused. She *asked* me if I wanted soup or salad and what kind of dressing etc. and then had no idea what I ordered? And then tells me it's okay that *she* made a mistake. But just for today... She had the worst attitude. I also saw her sarcastically admonish another customer saying they had been calling out her order for a long time, when all along they were saying the wrong name. Like she's supposed to know that's her order when it's not her name being called.
Food was super yummy. And I am moving to the area, and work in the area now, so I'll give them another chance but it did not give me a great first impression. -

SWEET YOUNG GUY - RUDE OLDER LADY
Checked it out yesterday with a friend because I've had a smoothie there before and it sounded good!
We walk in and we were instantly greeted by a sweet young guy. There was an older lady with him in the back, I don't recall her greeting us. I had a question about the oils and the young guy came out right away and even let us put an oil on and smell some.
The cafe ended up being closed so we just kept looking at oils. We said thank you and continued to walk around the store, the older lady, loudly (maybe trying to make obvious?) was telling the young guy about a customer that kept walking around and didn't buy anything. She continued on a rant and WARNING the young guy about people walking around, taking advantage of samples and not buying anything. She continues saying something like "yea, I wasn't about to go to the back and get him a coffee sample!" It was really uncomfortable and honestly, quite rude!
We didn't walk in with the intention of OMG STEALING SAMPLES and walking out! Lol Who does this lady think she is?
We walked in, the guy greeted us and gave a sample of an oil. I wanted a smoothie. Cafe was closed. We walked out. What's wrong with that?
Whoever that old lady is, she's rude as heck and ruined our experience. I feel bad for the young guy that was showing great customer service! He does his job and the lady berates him for basically doing what he should and being friendly. That older lady needs to learn basic customer service and maybe learn something from that young guy. Secondly, who in the world complains and talks badly about another customer when they're other customers in the store????
So word of advice...DON'T GET A FREE SAMPLE! LOL -

Quaint charming little place.
Half health store half restaurant.
Called in my order and it was done by the time I drove down the street ~15
I got the chicken salad and it was so good I went home the same day and recreated it and had it for lunch for the next few days (didn't compare to the restaurants but that's how much I liked it)
Received a complimentary Jamaica water with check-in super refreshing!
Definitely recommend this place! Healthy alternative to fast food, tastes like home-cooking !!! -

Love this place. Really good healthy food. Everyone is super friendly.
It's by no means fancy, so be ready for that.
